That part could be problematic, with ash build-up. Probably need to make access to it for regular cleanings.

I have a cleaning rod and brush. Also have done a leaf blower. Everything should just push to the clean out T inside and get emptied from there?

The 6 foot horizontal would be going through the wall to the outside termination cap.

I think the thimble is a Duravent. I just did a quick google and I found one for the 4" pipe (because that is what you said you would go with). That was just the first link I found. They aren't cheap for what they are, at around $300, but they are made in the USA. Amazon looks to be about $10 cheaper than the previous link. Oooh, look, here it is for about $50 cheaper, but they may have separate shipping charges (IDK).

I used 3" pipe for the P43. I have the 90* connector from the exhaust, a short, angled run into a 90* elbow, then another 24" straight run to the outside. I was matching to a previous corner install of a different brand stove. The previous stove had faced into the opposite corner of my living room (only way it would fit and keep clearances). I had enough room to face the P43 to blow straight down the hallway. The clean out is inside, but with the angle it isn't bad to get out. Honestly, I've only removed it once as between the soot-eater tool and LBT, I don't have any issues keeping it clean.

The Harmans are pretty automatic on figuring that out, but I guess it wouldn't hurt - especially with that many elbows. I know the installers did that for the P61a. Whether they actually had to perform any adjustments or not, I couldn't tell you. I didn't do anything when I installed the P43.

Thanks for the links. Yeah I'll probably go 4 inch just in case I need a 90 outside due to wind. Plus if I'm already doing 2 90's and a T sounds like it would max out a 3 inch.

Looks fantastic, what a great view.

I absolutely loved going to the North East, can't wait to return. So much more I'd like to explore.

We used to be peepers until the fixed income struck. Luved it up there in the fall. We swapped to the white mountains when Joey was little and did some rail fanning in Conway. Usually did a mid summer trip(2 wks) and a early october(1 wk) to see the colors.

Wife and I want to take a long weekend up to Conway but never seem to have the jingle now.

I think ttdberg might be a peeper too?

The older I get and the more the knees deteriorate, the shorter the hikes and the lower the elevation as well as less frequency. :(

Several years early fixed income has hit here too due to conditions beyond my control. Made/making changes in expenses to compensate and doing ok but have to watch every dollar spent. Luckily fir me I'm happy being homebody.

I've learned to rather enjoy it too. No more stress with I D 10 T's and road rage. Me and the pups got it made now! :D

Never thought I'd enjoy squirrel watching either, But Brodie showed me the ropes and we have a hoot watching them.

Happy first day of fall, Welcome to shoulder season. House is still in the 70's so no heat just yet, But I imagine it will be here shortly.

Most of the garden is done besides some maters and bell peppers. All the summer birds have checked out. The young female hummingbird left last week(Thursday). Besides the bluejays, morning doves and cardinals. We are only seeing any of the larger birds at the feeders. The reason main I prefer spring over fall.

Oil should be set until Thanksgiving, Pellets need to get ordered and stashed here shortly. A/C units will be pulled this weekend and we will be getting the leaf prep stuff to the front of the shed. Need to get a few of the flowering bushes cut back once they go dormant. Do some more wildflower planting in the field along with a patch of Sow thistle for the cottontails.

I tried 3 times over a span of an hour to get a pellet bag up to the hopper. Nope. I grabbed a mixing bowl like savemoney suggested a long time ago. Enough to run for awhile and family will be home in a couple hours. Thanks Larry.

Gave the Enviro a good cleaning and fired it up for a bit Sunday. Later that day my daughter was playing out there and asked if I could put it back on. Not a problem hun!

I've run the living room head of the mini split the last few nights (not the office). Turn it off late mornings when the sun finally hits the house so it can contribute a bit of solar gain (very minimal, have gotten it up to 71* just before I'm ready to retire for the night). I didn't turn the mini split on last night since it was supposed to stay in the 50's for a low, instead of the 30's. I did turn it on when I got up a little bit ago so it is ready when the house invariably drops below 68*.

Supposed to have lots of clouds and maybe some rain over the next couple of days, so may need to leave the living room MS on.

Mixing bowls, or large pet water bowls are great for transferring potting soil and pellets.
