I've personally never had an issue storing ammo in it's packaging I've got decades old ammo but I do keep most of it in my safe with silica desiccant. I did put hundreds of rounds into those mtm plastic 100 count cases All the discolored over time It didn't hurt function. Never used those military ammo cans lots of people swear by them.
I have an lcp first Gen in .380 with a laser attachment. Trigger isn't great. But for what it's intended for it'll work.
I've mentioned previously the issues with it. They are having a lot of unintentional discharges, some not when having the trigger touched. I'm sorry, that's a bad design and sig needs to remedy this ASAP.
I've gone as far as to vacuum seal ammo boxes with dessicants. Quick question...does the guy mention how surplus ammo from the 50s still comes out of it's original packaging looking new? They do pack them in cardboard, though possibly not the same cardboard as today. I will admit that original packaging + moisture is no bueno. Moisture + ammo is generally gonna be a bad time no matter the circumstance. I really don't think that the method matters a whole lot so long as it's kept dry. Extreme temp swings can bring condensation. Dessicants will mitigate pretty well. I'm currently storing a bunch in original boxes, inside plastic Plano cans. I get free dessicant packs from products shipped in cardboard barrels at my work. (they aren't expensive)
There's vastly superior proven service pistols out there Glock needs to upgrade to more modern tastes but they are still excellent. I have a lot of experience with the Smith and Wesson m&p series I've had 7 versions fullsize compact and the micro compact shield plus's now. I've shot CZ 75 pistols for about 30 year's and the p10 series a lot in the last couple years. The Walther PDP series is excellent. My current favorite is the arex delta series It's in use by militaries overseas but it's low price accuracy and reliability impressed me. Sig should never have released a unproven design that led to the mess they have now. They've lost all confidence in the 320 platform Blaming customer's many of those injured were military, law enforcement of otherwise trained individuals For their malfunctioning pistols.
Finally found a deal that I'd bite on ($115 + shipping). I bought their chair which is nice, but is not steady enough for *precision shooting. It's fine for flipping ground hogs but not for sighting or critical accuracy. The tripod is solid as whatever you stand it on (tried a friend's).
Picked up the newest version of the Taurus tx .22 toro These are over 300.00 at my local gunstore with a cardboard box and 2 16rnd mags This was 275.00 for the 5 mag bundle and case 2 22rnd and 3 16rnd mags. Great pistols.

Kygunco Here's the compact version TAURUS TX22 Compact 22 LR 3.5ʺ 13rd - Black w/ 5 MAGS | KYGUNCO But the one I ordered the fullsize is out of stock and more expensive now TAURUS TX22 Gen2 22 LR 4.1ʺ 16rd & 22rd - Black w/ 5 MAGS | KYGUNCO TAURUS TX22 Gen2 22 LR 4.1ʺ 16rd & 22rd - Black w/ 5 MAGS | KYGUNCO but the fullsize is sold out now.
I need to shoot mine. Old blind man syndrome has been making me less hurried for pistol play. It's a comp model and I mounted an optic (that I'm not very good at using so far). These TX's are one of a few rimfire pistols I will readily recommend. Not really anything to complain about.
I'm fairly new to red dots and am still learning them but I discovered I'm far more accurate just Putting the dot in the middle of the window And putting it on target that way. I tried my old 1911 6 o'clock hold But floating the dot right above the front sight But it takes longer to do that.
Smith & Wesson M&P 22X 22 Long Rifle Pistol 4.1 Threaded Barrel 20+1 These are supposed to release soon This'll be my next .22 My friend swears by the .22 mag version But it's not much cheaper than shooting 9mm.
Does the LR model have the rotating barrel? I did read a little about the WMR version. I'm hesitant to override my own training to allow better use of the dots, unsure if it will affect my use of pistols without (pretty happy with competency of the one that I would be using in dire straights, even with less than regular practice).
Check this out The rost martin is basically a Americanized version of the arex delta They bought the original arex patents and are licensed to produce them in Dallas texas Basically they softened the edges and smoothed the whole pistol over. I bought a bunch of rost martin 17rnd mags Like 15.00 each for my arex deltas The arex mags are like 30.00 each.
