Last of the Maple

    Got the last of the Maple hauled up and ready to split. Was more there than I thought there was. Will be good to mix in with the Alder and Fir.

    Nice hauls out of that tree. I always like it when a tree/score yields more than you anticipated.

    What percentage of your cutting is maple?

    Not much. I’ve got more Alder on the place than anything else.
    Occasionally a permit for state land harvest will have some Maple but mostly Fir and Hemlock.
