Having a fire now that we're back home. Mosquitos are still here, but not quite as bad as they were last week.
Had the smoker going so had firepit burning to start charcoal and kept it going.. Lumber scraps and buggy logs.
Decided to take advantage of the cooler evening and burn up some brush and other stuff. This was sassafras that was cut and stacked uncovered 4-5 years ago. Pretty amazed at how well it held up. Only a bit of soft spots on the pieces touching the ground.
I am positive that there are at least 3 members on this forum that don't think that I am a loser! Goodbye to you....Sitting by the fire burning a bunch of punky ash, all by myself! Lol
I actually have to go do a little scrounging for some good firepit type wood. I hate burning splits for just an outside fire so I have been easing the pain a little by cooking a few steaks on the side. LOL And WOW does that picture make my yard look like a big bucket of "poop". Really it doesn't look that bad , but it isn't perfect either.
