I saw a guy toss a good wheelbarrow with just a broken handle in the metal dumpster. Made me cringe.

Looks like some variety of Japanese maple to me. Twigs look like opposite branching. I’ve seen a few cultivars around.

I know, it does make you cringe to see what people toss. I have not bought a gas grill in 25 years, just pick up ones on the curb people throw out cause the ignitor does not work or a burner guard is rusted out. Yikes!

I scrapped a couple in my last run. Our old charcoal grill and a gas one that was my friends. They are frequent scrap yard fodder for me. I refuse to own a gas grill as one blew up in my face once.

Yup! We were dog sitting at her daughters several years ago and went to use the grill. Turns out there was something wrong with it and we didn't know. I got a "pooph" of flame in my face. Plus we like charcoal better for cooking AND its a great excuse for me to light the firepit.

Gas grill is convenient but there is something about how the food tastes when cooked on a charcoal grill that can’t be beat
