Wanted a saw that Kevin (XS) ported. Just seeing what’s out there.

It's gonna be tough finding someone who wants to part with one. One of Kevin's specialties is any saw that can run a 346xp top end...might want to keep your eyes peeled for one of those too.

I’ve got a Stihl MS241 that has been stuffed with Xtra Sausage I would part with. While not a 60-70cc saw, it will run with any stock 50-60cc saw.

I was hoping to find something bigger than the size you have.

I didn’t ask over to there. I will probably wait a bit and see if something is here first and then try over there.

What are you looking to cut with it? 60-70cc is a country mile difference in ported saws. Kevin’s MS-462 is world class in the 70cc size, his 7900 MakMar hangs right with a ported 500i. Kevin’s 346NE is definitely in a class of its own. I run a 24” full skip on mine and it’s one of my favorite saws to run.

I was looking for something to buck up the trunk of the tree. I have a couple 50 cc saws and a 60 cc. I had a 562 once and I had a hard time with the chain brake when I took the clutch cover off. I know it was operator error but I didn’t think the brake was on but it had to be because I couldn’t get the cover back on very easily.

It happens if you remove the clutch cover with the brake on. Line the cover up and push in on the top right so the brake handle engages the clutch cover and pull back to reset it

While neither of mine are for sale the perfect 2 saw plan is a XS346 and XS7900, if your into 3 somes, add the XS 543/4350… And yes I own all 3 of those ported by Kevin. If you are 1 saw ported plan, go the XS462 route.
