Definitely Target fixation. That was just confirmation that I can hit straight. My golf game really turned a corner last week. In a good way. We're have our annual work golf event at the end of September. I'm looking forward to it.

Ugh! Good for you figuring out the different flywheels and stators. When my middle son was a teenager he bought a Husky MX bike. Didn't tell me, didn't want my input. The seller told him the engine had been completely rebuilt. He changed the oil after a few weeks of riding and it was full of the forbidden glitter. People just suck sometimes.

That's awesome! I respect anyone that can figure out that game. I gave it a try for a couple years when I was in college. What I learned was it just wasn't for me. :D

I hear you there. Our worst one is about 40 square miles. BAD. Still technically out of control, but finally looking better all the time now for the past few days. Some evacuated communities are back home now, other communities pretty much destroyed. Many buildings lost, including a school.

We finally had a downpour today. Much needed.

Today is our wedding anniversary. With the holiday weekend, I've got a 6 day weekend and we're spending a few of those days doing a few things we really like.

Congratulations!!! May there be many more and may they get better year by year. You might even be able to afford decent shoes next year.

Lol. Boat shoes. That 1.25 mile walk after we ditched our boats and walked into town was about the furthest I'll go in flip flops.

I'll be using my flip flops again today.

Happy Anniversary Tom...Enjoy the extra long weekend.

Good thing you captioned that photo...To me it looked like a beautiful lady helping a homeless guy to the bathroom (at 1st I thought I saw a stain on your shorts)

I’ve been taking down some good size Ash that the bugs have gotten to. To bad, but on the positive side it will make some firewood for us. IMG_6881.jpeg

Nice firewood tree. Looks like a near-miss on a metal spike or lag screw, judging by the stain. Glad your chain didn't find it!

I'm sorry, I went through similar in our previous long time home. Yes our house survived, full of ash and stinky but whole. We were allowed home after 2 weeks evacuation only to be evacuated again 6 hours later, it was too hot and too close (here we don't bother, no trees, just dead grass and short dry desert bushes). Granted I regret selling that home but I didn't like being home alone, disabled, with an infant when WWW was so far away. Anyway I hope the downpour helps but if it's in dry timber the best you could expect is containment lines and let it burn out by itself.

That is what my neighbor said as well. When we were kids, we had a tree house between that tree, and a clump of three not far from it. (I took all four down reluctantly.) So there were some nails in there from a long time ago. I didn’t hit any.
