Yes, if aluminum heads, extract the old plugs when the engine is cold. Use a good penetrating oil, and take your time.

2014 that GM will have aluminum heads.

Honestly I've never had any real issues with Kawasakis. That 220 bayou you have has obviously been jankified based on all the evidence you have. My 300 bayou has been pretty good, only needing a rectifier and I put an aftermarket Honda carb on it to give it more power. Then my buddy used it to pull white pine logs and he broke the rear seal on the drive shaft. It's been a while. Idk if it will get fixed. Not it's fault. It was well used when I bought it. Want to drop a 300c 4wd engine in yours?

It was finally cool enough to split the Norway maple and pine and could if honey locust rounds I had accumulated this early evening. Splitter started right up. That Tecumseh doesn't want to die.

    Definitely!
Nah, I'm done screwing with it, if I were to do any engine swaps it would be to put a sled engine in that Banshee frame I've been saving...:D
I'm sure an unmolested and properly cared for 220 would be fine, but looking things up about them up on various forums, they sure seem to have a laundry list of common issues...I dunno...if it proves to be too troublesome long term I'll just send it on down the road...good for parts if nothing else!
What's the deal with the rear compartment lids always missing?! (Behind the seat) I haven't seen one that still had it yet!

Little cooler this week . This might be that one perfect weather week to work outside. 60 for the ride in and 75 for the ride home. Really enjoying the new scooter

Well, all done and no nasty surprises or broken plugs :) He was glad to see no oil blow by, nothing fouled, (seems we've always had older cars/trucks). Just two points gone and two over 1/2 gone. Said he's going to pick up some fuel injector cleaner. He ended up getting new plug wires too.

He's really impressed with the truck, no repairs on it. Just maintenenance items, tires/brakes/oil etc. He's never had an engine without repairs like this. I guess it's a 2013 though, not 2014.

Thank you :) I missed this, fell asleep early...but he had finished earlier in the day. The aluminum heads were new to him, Saturday evening he came in and told me about them like "what the heck!" lol. He did work on it cold per his normal, let penetrating oil sit overnight and next day things went pretty smooth

I understand completely! Fire season is scary out here. Last week we had a heat wave and the Watch Duty fire app on my phone showed the state absolutely covered with fires. It really makes you think.

There was a 600ac fire in the next county and our house was right on the flight path of the Sikorsky CH47 Chinooks. They were getting fire retardant from McClellan AFB to dump on the fire, back and forth all day long. There were five or six of them assigned to the fire that day. The noise didn't bother me one bit. Keep them coming!

That rear compartment was a bad latch and hinge mechanism. Mine has it, amazingly.
