The red pile to the left is the cherry, then the next two piles as you move right are the current oak piles. One for the smaller diameter wood and the other for bigger stuff that needs (or is smart to use) the log lift. And on the far right is the mixed hardwood pile which is done growing for now as I all I have to cut and split are oak logs.
Beautiful woodyard. I like the way you have rounds sorted. ? for you, how do y'all move the splitters when they sit across the row?
The iron and oak is easy enough to just move by yourself. The Timberwolf takes 2 people to move but 3 is much easier.
This is all that’s left from the last two semi truck loads. I hope to finish cutting the logs tomorrow.
Finished up around noon today. There were 3 big logs in that pile of piles. They were roughly 20-24” in diameter and about 16’ long. The grass only turned a little yellow under the one pile.
