We had a quarter inch of rain Aug 01 and then nothing since.
Solar production has been good except for the wildfire smoke days.
Smoke seems worse than some clouds.

I'd gladly share what we could. Logistically that will not be easy.

The WI State Fair had to close early last night due to flooding. They are also cancelling the last day of the fair today. I saw at least 1 report of over 10" officially in the Milwaukee area. One unofficial report was 14" of rain since last night.

Our county youth fair is this coming week so it's almost guaranteed to rain 1 day.

A neighbor recorded 9.19" of rain in 24 hrs here. We didn't even have the most in the area. A coworker has a flooded basement, another coworker's daycare where they take their kid is flooded. All sorts of fun. We're lucky. Just sump pump running and ponding in the yards.

I got about an inch of rain a on July 31 - and it had been a couple of weeks (maybe 3?) since the prior rain.

Solar production suffered last week with the heavy smoke. The upside from the smoke was the house didn't heat up as much from the sun hitting it, plus it probalby kept the air temps down compared to what it would have been with just full sunshine so the mini split didn't run as much.

Hit a new record for the power bill last month. $170. Attribute it to lots of AC and even more de-humidifier.

Overnight, humidity dropped along with temps. AC off but still a need for de-humidifier.

Kind of a slow morning around here. Something is in the air and making me miserable. I haven't had allergies since college but now I think I'm getting them again.

Wadded up the old metal goat shed with the grapple bucket and got it set on the trailer to go to the scrap yard. It didn't put up much of a fight. The scrap value won't even pay for my fuel but at least it will be gone.

Did a little reorganizing and some wiring termination out in the shop before I had to start the day job. I need to figure out my workbench height(s) before I put in any more outlets.

Had some Thanksgiving dinner walking around the course this morning. I think they were playing the 13th hole. 20250811_081608.jpg

What happens if you do not run the dehumidifier?
