I plan to do some yard work, cutting/pruning back overgrown areas.

We'll head to my SIL's later this evening for game night.

Good morning everyone! It looks like we get a break from the smoke today. Hot and dry weekend ahead. We really need some rain.

 

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 70°/81° cloudy. Another 6PM-6AM night down, going to work a couple extra nights this week. We need to take a tote of oak to the restaurant this morning, then hopefully do the yard work at our daughter's place. Didn't happen yesterday, as we had to go get SIL's car again, wiring harness issue on fuel pump.
Oh, I hear the woodyard calling me loudly, I miss it too...hopefully soon we will be reunited.

Well I was wrong. Now that it's daylight I can see we have smoke again. It'really getting old and none of the powers that be seem to care.

I know the feeling brother. I'm supposed to have 3 day weekend, covering the vacant shift for 2 more nights. The new guy has just completed his 2nd week of training, got about 6 more to go.

We got the tote of oak delivered to the restaurant and had time to get the yard work done at our daughter's house yesterday. Glad that's out of the way.
Got a little tractor work to do this morning around the house.

Good morning. We are in the midst of a loud and very rainy thunderstorm. Making dill pickles this morning. Taking our grandchildren to the lake to swim, and then out to dinner at Culver’s later today.

 

Do you ever eat at that restaurant? I take it the wood is used for a smoker? Wood for ribs?

 

I have only eaten at one a few times, but love Culver's.

 

Good morning everyone! The smoke doesn't seem quite so thick today. The rain yesterday didn't happen. You could see it on the radar approaching the lake and then POOF it was gone. It's very dry here.

 

Yes sir, we eat there occasionally. It is a buffet style line, home cooking type. Cold and hot bar, salads, veggies and several types of meats that varies during the week. Really good fried chicken....
Friday they usually have fish and grits...
They have a big smoker on a trailer.
Use NG to maintain temps, firebox on the end for smoke flavor, they cook ribs, pulled pork and chicken on it.

Dairy trip this morning, then after the sun goes behind the hill Tom and I are thinking we'll put the metal on the porch.......maybe.

Yesterday, we got the first drain line done and I dug the second ditch.
Tom worked on soffit after helping me set the pipe.

Morning all. Overcast with the promise of sunshine. We came home Wednesday night to the ground absolutely soaked so the grass will be growing again.
Went down island yesterday and picked up the RV from the shop. Roof sealing was done.
