You are the second person who has said the same thing recently. My neighbor never got poison oak until last year. Twice this spring/summer already.

Read the first book of the Bible called Genesis. God, through Jesus, made everything perfect even Lucifer but Lucifer with his choices, became very proud, arrogant and deceitful. He then rebelled against God and enticed Adam and Ev to fall into sin. Our world started to go downhill at that point.

I googled it years ago and found there is something that just isn't talked about - people can develop allergies as they get older. Huh, apparently women are more prone to that then males are.

I didn't used to react to PI until 8-10 years ago (thankfully well after it and I had a big fight where the roadside garden is now at). Just like I used to eat coconut, oysters and clams all the time. Now I can't eat them at all. At least the clams/oysters gave me a head's up and made me puke everything up from my toenails (three different times, from 3 different places - I finally got the hint)

The ex developed dog, dust mite and fir tree allergies in his late 40's too.

I just did my first Walmart grocery delivery.

Whaaat? $10 delivery and and $17+ tip. I think I will cancel it. What the heck?

    Subtotal
    $185.94$179.29
    Delivery from store $9.95
    Delivery from store
    $9.95
    Tax $4.38
    Tax
    $4.38
    Driver tip$17.93
    (charged separately after delivery)
    Total
    $211.55

    Temporary adjusted total $220.53
    Temporary adjusted total
    $220.53
This covers adjustments to your final order total for items that are priced by weight or potentially substituted, and state bag fees where applicable. After your final order total is confirmed, we’ll refund......

Edit, I was finally able to cancel via bot chat that gave a phone number where another bot understood I wanted to cancel this order. Umm, 3 miles away, not paying $28 to get it to husbands shop, he hate's Walmart and won't do pick ups there. I wonder if pick up orders are still free too?

As far as I remember, he (satan) took the form of a snake to entice Ev, who then enticed or pulled Adam in unknowingly when she brought the fruit back for him to eat.

BUT...... That would put most of the blame on Ev.

That's assuming the Bible has been translated and rewrote correctly over how many years and how many people, that have selfish human nature?

Not to get into a deep discussion on this, but the one wonderful thing about the Bible is that it is true to the original writing. God's protection has ensured that. What Moses wrote thousands of years ago, can be read in our hands today.

The overhead door in the shop is in and the AC is cranking. I never thought I'd have an cool place to work in the summer time.

A little bit of rough-in wiring, 6 pieces of insulation, and 4 pieces of OSB left to go. I need to get back in the attic for the wiring and I value my life too much to go crawling around up there on a day like today.

I did the same with avocado. Husband is melons and walnuts. Husbands tongue throat itches and swells (not dangerously), but I am like you, instant stomach flu till everything is up and out. Husband finally pieced it together after I eagerly ate a lot of the taco salad Dad
s wife made for a holiday, and he realized the common denominator.

Yep. I used to be able to roll in poison ivy as a kid. It didn't affect me. No way in hell I'd try that now. Allergies change as you age.
My wife used to not have any severe allergies to bee/ wasp stings. Two years ago she almost died from anaphylactic shock from a single wasp sting. Her throat was swelling up and restricting her breathing. Luckily there was an emergency medical crew from the Mayo clinic at the concert and they gave her an epi pen shot and steroids and monitored her for an hour.

They trick you when you are about to check out by showing the delivery charge. Depending on the distance, that seems reasonable. But then you check out and get the tip added to it. Almost 2x the deliver fee. Nope!

I also had developed that theory....about becoming older and susceptible to things that never bothered you in younger years.

(sigh) Still better than the alternative. :handshake:

99 has been telling me to stay out of the woods and quit cutting firewood. Like that's going to happen! As long as I can, I will.

Got a prescription of prednisone and seems to be helping a lot just like last summer. I already had a scrub, a spray, and two creams that helped out also. One of the creams (ointment) is a steroidal prescription. I'll have to make sure to wear long pants/long sleeves and boots for firewood cutting/weed killing related chores from now on I suppose. :emb:

Next thing you know, I'll be having a GTG here to get my firewood cut! :rofl:

Just be wary where you step.

    :D

And hope the prednisone helps. Does topical hydrocortisone do anything for poison ivy?

Relieves itching/burning but not recommended for application on blisters of affliction process.

Up here in WY I get an orange ring in my toilet bowl. It's weird, bread here molds much faster than it did in Colo too. Idk. I bought a product called Kaboom! Orange ring in there after I cleaned it on Sunday. Husband cleaned it again this morning (it's stinky :hair: ) and installed the Kaboom!. Except my toilet bowl only filled like 3". Umm, I don't want to see/clean skids. Just spent and an hour adjusting the stupid new style Kanko or whatever the brand name is, fill valve really a pita compared to ball floats!

I'm getting into the other bathroom in the next few days, adjust their toilet. Water in the bowl has been too low for too long and it gets really icky. I don't even go in there much.

I wish the ball float valves were still around.
