Yeah that sounds like a pretty good deal for sure, at least you'll get some nice BTUs and peace of mind! Looking forward to the pics!

Lastly, below is the hickory-shagbark that will be dropped. Nuts consistently fall on the truck and my head

Whole bunch of prime BTU's dropped in your yard, without you taking the risk of damage is worth it.
Every tree I've paid to have taken down is a fraction of the insurance deductible

That oak coming out of the deck is cool. You should leave the bottom 10 feet and carve something! Totem pole?

That is an awesome idea! I've never really tried anything like that before, and if I did one, the value of the property would decrease significantly. I really wish I would have the funds to throw at that idea though! Damm......

Those are great! I actually did a search and emailed a guy and sent pics. The wife said, there is no way we're dumping more money into this, lol:rolleyes:

I'll wait until she is asleep and whisper "tree sculpture" "wood art" to her!:handshake:

That dudes nose would be a great place to hide a key. I think I'd want a bear maybe. Coming up my steps to see a big bearded dude after drinking a few, might get ugly. :D

Good time to get them done W.S. Let me know if you want that wood hauled away. Sometimes that stuff just gets in the way you know.

That oak tree against the house would be enjoyable to take down....I'd enjoy doing that one! It would need to be topped and lowered, then blocked and lowered on the way back down.....I love some of those technical trees. That one, believe it or not, ain't all that bad.

You should see the maple I'm in the middle of right now. It's only 45-50 ft tall. But around 50 ft wide too! Spans three yards, is against two houses, two services, two phone and two cable services too. PITA. I'll put pics up after we get it all down, hopefully that will be tomorrow evening.

You'll have a lot of good firewood there buddy!

Sounds like you're gonna whittle that maple down with a pocket knife, it's got so many issues.

I prefer when they leave them a bit longer. That way I can buck them into cuts that will be easier to split by hand by cutting around crotches and making sure at least one side of the round is flat enough for it to sit on the chopping block semi straight.

These guys saw my wood stash, and were impressed. One of the first things he said was "you'll be saving $ because I know your keeping the wood!" I said yup! :D
