    Seems like a no brainer.

What are the advantages of deleting it other than not buying the fluid?

Depends on which system you are deleting but generally:
    - More power
    - More fuel economy
    - Lower maintenance costs (no DPF to replace after it wears out, no DEF fluid to buy, no crap to replace when it breaks)
    - Simpler to maintain
    - No "no start" penalty box, or broken parts keeping your engine from running

.. probably other things I'm forgetting.

    S0 what are the downsides?
    - Making bambi sad
    - Stinkier

    How about pros:

less engine heat (internal and external)
    More engine compartment space

Well, the bug bit again. Our Bad Boy CZT 54" cut, was bought new in 2013, it has cut many miles of "yards", not lawns...we wore out the first deck, replaced it. Needs minor work.
We dropped it off at the dealership Monday, going to be awhile to get a spring it needs. Called the owner Tuesday, he said he had a demo unit in the showroom he would make a good deal on. Told me it had 50 hrs on it...
Well, they have to say "it has 50 hrs on it" to sell as a demo...:whistle::whistle:
When I looked at the meter, it looked more like 8.9 hrs...:thumbs:...and it comes with full warranty.
He knocked 3K off new price and we got 0% interest.
Miz Carol can't lift that heavy deck with the foot lever...heck, I struggle...so they ordered a $280 electric actuator for it and included it in the deal.
It has a 800+cc Kawasaki engine, 61" cut, cartridge type air filter.
    It's a tank. Sure rides good. 20250729_120915.jpg

Congratulations T. Jeff. They are a good looking machine. Would have considered one the last time I bought a mower but had no local dealers.

I have the grandpappy of that mower. Mine was a demo too...I think it had 80 hours on it...I think mine is a 2008 model. 60" and 850CC. Still runs and cuts as good as the day I brought it home.

Nice machine...looks like something that should last a long time if taken care of... Kawasaki power and Hydrogear 4400 drives
Interesting how BB apparently changes the price depending on if cash or financed sale, that seems a little shady...but sounds like maybe your dealer cut through the crap?
