My hectic summer is slowly getting better. Just had a chance at work to get storm clean up done from a few weeks back. Station director asked me if I wanted the wood and I told him "you bet your ash I want it". I am positive the humor was lost on him. Kinda like getting paid to cut wood and have summer help kids to deal with the small stuff. 20250719_194013.jpg

I have far too many ash trees on my land that are not healthy and need to be "harvested". Thanks a lot EAB. All those years of precaution didn't do a danged thing to prevent the infestation!

    :picard:

At least the maples and red oaks will have less growing competition.

Looks like you worked your ash off on that load.
All the ash around me is sketchy as he//. Sadly, they won’t be standing much longer.

No EAB here yet but it will be here soon. It has been confirmed about a 2 hour drive to the south, east and north of me so it kinda feels like a tsunami wave of destruction is looking at me in the distance.

All split. When the trailer is packed tight with splits flush to the top like this, it is 3/4 of a cord. Was a nice Sunday project.
