After him showing me the BL on Tuesday it didn't take much twisting of my arm to get there. Well, that and the fact he said I should grab them before they get buried. IMG_7583.JPG Couple pulleys the saw didn't get clotheslined on, IMG_7584.JPG IMG_7585.JPG BUT managed to slice through this (almost)...vinyl coated hook! It was on the blindsided of a log. Luckily it was a well used chain with little meat left on the teeth. IMG_7586.JPG IMG_7589.JPG IMG_7590.JPG Heaping load cut. 241 & 462 tag teamed. IMG_7587.JPG IMG_7588.JPG Split about a half cord and called it quits. IMG_7591.JPG Maybe a dozen pieces left I'll split this weekend. IMG_7592.JPG One BL log left I need a bigger bar for plus some Goldilocks Norway maple that tumbled down. Next weeks cut.

Thanks. 1.5hrs.+ cutting and loading then less on the splitter. Full sun at the cut (some clouds) with a breeze and full shade splitting. Nice rounds split up pretty quick.

Hand split the remaining chunks at my BL storage location. Felt good to swing the X27 again. The rest of the splits will come here soon. IMG_7600.JPG

Yeah it isn't bad at all. Very low humidity and a slight breeze. Sitting out on the deck with the firepit going. Give me the rest of the Summer like this and no complaints.

Hit his yard again today. Bucked a couple Norway maple logs before I could move the last chunk of BL to buck. One was on the knotty side but NM splits easily on the hydro. IMG_7615.JPG Then bucked these red maple logs. Hopefully they produce some nice splits. Need to keep stocking the bundle wood. IMG_7616.JPG Ill go tomorrow, load and then split across the street in the wood yard. He may be around to pull more logs from the mound. Still some small BL up top.

I guess not. I called him after I finished the ones I wanted, asked him about the RM and he said all mine. Wood that nice I don't need to be told twice. If you saw the piles he has I guess he gets enough in. Plenty of oak and you know how I feel about that.

He does sell wood on his own, but only uses his processor. Mills slabs too. Milled a huge sycamore log this week. I was cutting right next to his huge CSM. 8-10' bar on the thing. His burn pile has some slab wood I could put to good use too.

Went to pick up the rounds those afternoon and SURPRISE! A new pile of BL had been dumped on top. 28" diameter on the biggest log. IMG_7625.JPG IMG_7626.JPG I retrieved what rounds i could and split most of it. IMG_7628.JPG IMG_7627.JPG Lots of bundle splits and the rest general cordage. IMG_7629.JPG IMG_7630.JPG What's left I'll split tomorrow. IMG_7631.JPG He wants the BL gone ASAP. I know what I'll be cutting Monday.

Reminds me of that single line from Robin Williams. “My man, you need a pair of Nike’s? Here try one shoe on do this for awhile”. :)
