Time to climb back up in the ceiling and finish my current project. That room houses all the electrical switchgears for the power coming into the building. Very hot down there. Stay safe and stay cool everyone.

Heat advisory here, which is unusual because it is usually inland, or maybe both, not just here.
Seemed odd as the forecast high for the day was just 88, but it is now a few degrees warmer than forecast. Humidity outside is 63%, inside is 46%. AC is on, about 78ºF inside.

So we may have broke a few 20250708_095226.jpg IMG_20250708_101803.jpg OSHA rules today. 2 baker scaffolds stacked plus a 6 foot ladder on top of that. We did get the fire rated shaft done and started our next mission.

Got some dirt work done around the new concrete last night. We actually got a little rain this morning so it was good timing.

This morning I pulled some wire from the shop attic down to the breaker box. You can tell the shop was built by a depression era guy. All the wiring is a total mixed bag of reused stuff, barely got around the door and windows on the outside of the studs without an inch to spare. I'm probably going to have to redo a lot of it.

I'm trying to work up the courage to cut holes in the porch ceiling for recessed lights. I know it's easy enough but there's something about cutting up brand new metal you just paid big bucks for.

Amish crew is shorthanded and taking longer than expected but still moving along at a good pace. I doubt they'll finish today, but they won't be here past noon tomorrow.

Started at a new job site just South of Pittsburgh. Pretty fancy country club doing a addition to their clubhouse and a remodel of the existing structure. Maybe i should bring my clubs with me? 20250709_095941.jpg

I got the lights on the new porch installed yesterday evening / this morning. It was easier than I thought....the new hole saw worked out great. Might try to wire in outlets tonight...might not.

The Amish guys are putting up the last of the metal...should be done in a couple hours. They asked me if I wanted to wire a couple houses they are building LOL.

    Need Hydraulic assist!

Is it just the prospective of the pic or are the concrete pillars in front leaning in opposite directions?

Just perspective on the piers. We are taking the rafters up with the boom lift.
