Been watching all the comments about FHC merchandise and everyone wanting the FHC saw sign decal. Decided to brand my truck in my own way! Since it runs around mostly without the tow insert, I decided to add my own insert cover. I have done a lot of unique insert covers in the past for people (mostly sports oriented). Made a trick little light weight insert sometime ago that locks in at a 45* angle. Only now I have to buy a locking insert pin because anything cool as a cover is likely to walk away. I may try to adapt the Bigfoot carrying the saw and the axe also. I think maybe make this one slightly larger. Still in the prototype stage.
Hey! I just bought a used Tundra. 98k miles. 5.7l engine, 4wd SR5, OSS package, double cab with 6.5'bed. How has yours treated you?
Looks great metalcuttr , I might need some bling for the truck. Keep us updated if you decide to go in the business.
Hey Woodpusherpro , Mine is a 2005 bought new and has 125K on it now with nothing but general maintenance. Did have the airbag recall which they replaced and a frame rust recall which did not effect mine. Solid truck that runs like a top! Hope you have excellent success with yours!
I can see some poor mechanic under a lift saw his head open. Maybe come up with some FHC boot scrapers?
Probably not selling any. Can you imagine trying to box one of these for shipping with that receiver insert sticking out? Really too bad because it would fit in a large flat rate envelope without that dang insert poking up there! Just a fun thing to do right now. Thanks for the positive comments!
I can weld my own insert in it. I just can't cut it out. I have zero artistic ability. I just like the designs. If you change your mind just let me know. My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder. Lopi Endeavor and Republic 1250
I've got an 06 DC that I bought new. 146k miles. No repairs other than self inflicted. Oil, tires and brakes.
Boot scrapers...never thought of that. I have a friend who has made a few scrapers. I'll have to talk to him!
