Picked up a copy of Oh No! It's Devo the other day. Still fresh in the shrink wrap. Jacket says New Zealand and the catalog number in the dead wax is right. Looks like it is 32 years old and factory fresh. I'd like to know how a record pressed in New Zealand made it to a record store in NJ unopened.
That is one band I would love to see again. They talk about it every now and then but nothing comes of it. I did see Ray Davies about 5 years ago. He still sounded great and did quite a bit of Kinks tunes.
I've seen Dave twice in the past 10 years. Also a lot of kinks tunes, but no Lola. I think the talk of a reunion was a bit more serious this year but I will believe it when I see it.
I saw them back in '82 or '83 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. Great show. Here is Yes in Philly in 1979. My brother and I and a couple friends are in that crowd noise.
Looks like when they were playing in the round with a stage in the center. I saw them a few times around then also.
I grew up with J Geils Band and managed to see them often. They are playing in November with Bob Seger at the Boston Garden-trying to get tickets but not much luck getting good seats and I refuse to buy the legalized scalper tickets. Whenever J Geils plays in Boston its a tough ticket to get. Last time was without Geils on guitar, I am not sure about this time around.
