Imo shopping is a mental drain regardless of the item, but higher priced ones can be even more draining.

Walker Mfg was one of my customers. Pretty cute, big metal mfg plant the and great aunt had a home on the top floor. Good people. Are they still in the US now?

How about an IV Bag-O-Beer setup on the roll bar? Hands free and when you run out your Mrs can run another one out wearing a nurse outfit......

Big selling point on those is also the flip up deck for easy cleaning. I have never really been around them but folks that have them seem to love them.

So I'm trying to get an opinion on what to do with something I just realized.
All of the literature, videos ect. show and state that it comes with a heavy duty solenoid shifted starter motor.
Looking at the engine they put a regular old Bendix starter on it. I sent a message to my dealer and he is contacting bobcat.
Am I right or wrong about feeling a bit cheated?

All starters have a Bendix gear to overrun if the engine starts and the starter doesn't disengage.

Is the solenoid remote mounted of mounted on the starter? I'm not understand what you're saying.

It's supposed to have a solenoid that pulls the pinion into the ring gear then at the end of the travel it's internal contacts are closed energizing the starter motor.
Instead I received a simple Bendix starter that as long as the motor is spinning faster than it's being driven the pinion then floats up the helix.
And the control is more of a overstressed relay than a (Ford style) solenoid switch.

I can understand what you're describing but have never heard of such a thing. A quick web search returns nothing. Got a link to school me further?

Honestly when I was still working on heavy equipment, we had the most trouble with the solenoid shifted starters...I personally would have zero issues with what you have.
I'd be surprised to find a gas powered ope engine with that style starter these days.
