    Foggy and soggy. 56⁰/70⁰ drizzle. Steady rain by mid-morning.

    I was hoping to make firewood, then do grocery shopping. To avoid being out in a downpour, I'll go shopping earlier and make firewood tomorrow.

    We had a fawn bedded all day yesterday very close to the house. Still there early this morning. At 5:30 I watched mother deer lay down on opposite side of the house, less than 15' from the house. After about an hour she got up and took care of the fawn. They are still here and close. We are blessed.

    Morning all. Overcast and damp this morning but I am sure it will burn off and we will have sunshine again.
    I got the roof sprayed yesterday so now it is wait and see how it works.
    I am working this afternoon so chores this morning. Puppy training is going better but she is still wearing the cone of shame to protect her stitches.

    Good afternoon, ya'll. Hope ya'll are having a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. 83 and mostly cloudy, chance of thunderstorms again this evening. I think we got 6 rounds split yesterday evening before we had to stop. Last day of 7AM-7PM this week, so maybe we can get something done in the morning. Heading to safety meeting now...

    The sun will make an appearance today! 57⁰/80⁰ Smoky haze.

    The moon was full last night. It was low on our horizon. It was a deep orange color due to high altitude smoke.

    I plan to spend some time making firewood.

    Not really enjoying it.......I so agree that someone outta come up with a more legit way of finishing interiors......sheetrock is a very bad joke, imo.

    Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 69°\87° clear. Swapped back to my regular shift last night, for 2 nights, then off the weekend. Cooked breakfast yesterday morning, then got busy on the woodyard. Had decent weather, we got 2 big totes done. Hickory/oak mix... 20250611_124953.jpg
