Ahh, yes...I had that in the backyard about a month ago already.
I thought I saw a pink tone in your pic, so that's why I thought it was cherry blossoms...we have a small wild cherry tree that has been "snowing" in the yard the last week or so.

Took a chill day today. Didn't do a lot. Planted some annual flowers we bought Friday after work. Weed wacked the back yard. Ate tacos for dinner on the patio.

That sounds like a perfect day! 68F is warmer than our lakes around here. They are still getting snow melt running into them.

We normally don't get quite the pounding we did the first 10 minutes and next hour after that. It had more effect than normal because the ground was already super-saturated before the systems started - we just got thru the 3rd rainiest May ever. So, the water had nowhere to go. There were several places that flooded that I haven't seen flood in the nearly 40 years I've lived in the area.

The drainage ditch from the house to the south to my property (where the city culvert is). That used to be full of smaller riprap. See where the stake is? Go a little to the right (it is actually 18" from the stake, for scale), that is my property pin. It did not used to be in the middle of the ditch. That bank in front is also severely undercut. Now look above the pin. See that big, long feature that looks like it might be a log (just to the right of the big rock)? That is a 30-40 pound piece of concrete that was the footing fro my old back porch. I had placed that next to the pin, vertically up the bank to help keep the pin from washing out until grasses grew to hold that area. I didn't see it at first and was dreading that it had found its way into the culvert

    Where property pin is now.jpg

All in all, my place did well, so am happy with just needing to repair the ditch.

Caffeine! Couple days off. Lots to do. Chance of drizzle for a couple hours this morning. So I’ll do dump run first and then pay some bills. Then it’s weed whacking time. And some mowing later. Lots of mowing to do with both the zero turn and the tractor. You firewood hoarders have a good day.

All it takes is hands on steering wheel, foot on accelerator and brake plus eyes on road.

EDIT: A bit of luck is good too.

Just had some dinner and ready to head into the garage. A coat of wax on the GTG cutting boards and then start on a walnut flag case. Also needs done by GTG time.

It knocks it down, from aloft and not affecting air quality, to down where you smell it and breathe it in.

Crud, had a nagging feeling I was forgetting something this month, like a holiday or event. Already have a gift for WWW for Fathers Day. I settled on my Dad's birthday though he passed.

 Our Wedding Anniversary it tomorrow! :picard:

What might a husband think if a wife gave him a joint Anniversary/Father's Day gift?

I'm thinking wait and see, he might remember and come home with flowers or special meal to cook but I think he spaced it too

Caffeine! Got a bunch done yesterday. Dump run. Bills paid. Walk/run. Installed new toilet in 1/2 bathroom. Mowed all trails with tractor. Then we got the rain through much of the night overnight. Today will be a long walk/run this morning while I wait for everything to dry out. Then hopefully get a bunch of weed eating, trimming, and maybe mowing later, if the grass dries up enough.

Anyone ever heard someone say a plumb bob isn't accurate? I thought as long as we still had gravity it had no choice but to be accurate. I'll be over there shaking my head in disbelief . Have a great day everyone.
