Morning all. Clear sunny skies to start the day. For our area, it supposed to get warm. It might hit 70F!

    Happy Sabbath everyone.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. 86°, feels like 95° muggy. Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Another 7AM-7PM day cooking dirt...
Had to bring mower to town with me this morning, needed a belt (didn't have a spare) and a spindle bearing was beginning to make noise. After loading on the trailer, got our backpack sprayer out, filled with water and chemicals. It started leaking down my lower back, soaked my shorts and everything else...:headbang::headbang::headbang::mad::mad:
Finally took it off, dumped it in the ditch where I was spraying and got in the shower quick. Think I'm gonna look for a sprayer to go on the tractor...

    Good morning, members.

I took my coffee out on the deck and took several deep breaths. The air changed from muggy to refreshing overnight. Ahhhh... 56⁰/73⁰ mostly overcast . Glad we left windows open.

    More rain tomorrow.

No real plans other than to head to a farm stand to get some local grown radishes. Some will end up on a salad.

    Be safe

Good morning everyone! It looks like we are blessed with more Canadian smoke at least for a while today. Yesterday it was bad. It figures since we are having a semi dry weekend we would get this crap.

I'm home again. Drove 650 miles yesterday through the smoke. I'm tired.

Morning all. Overcast with the prospect of more sunshine today. No smoke here so maybe people who are having smoke issues should consider moving to Paradise here.
Cleaning the church, bookkeeping and a chance to get into the sewing room today is on the agenda for today.

Puppy training is improving. The drugs they had her on to slow her down after the spay operation were creating an issue with house training so I discontinued them. Hard to keep her quiet though as she is interested in everything and wants to do everything at full speed. The rat terrier run is hard to resist when you have lots of grass to run on.

Last week was a busy one as I worked a couple of days, babysat Lady after surgery, bookkeeping, a funeral to attend and generally doing lots. One nice thing with the better weather, we got caught up on the lawn cutting. I still have to clean out scotch broom, salmonberry, thimble berry and blackberry from the edges of the property. I can leave the back door open for Lady to come and go as she needs to.

I mentioned that Mom turned 100 and is still very active in her community. This article was published this morning in a down island newspaper. I hope you enjoy it.

I maybe should have also posted the trip was 1445 miles total and we averaged 31.5 mpg. That was driving 75 mph most of the way too when there was not construction...

Morning all. Clear and sunny this morning. We have had high winds every afternoon for the last couple of days. A high pressure system is sitting off the coast creating good sailing conditions for the around the island sailboat race.

We hope to get up and de=moss the roof this morning before the wind really gets wild.

    Everyone have a great day.

A product called Spray and Walk. First time using it. Takes a while to work apparently. I may have to get up there and do it again in some areas as it was quite thick. Fly ash from the boiler is good fertilizer for moss.
