Tell her you bought something, but not another tornado siren.

If she isn't happy about it, you can fab me up a fire pit and I'll buy it to offset a tiny bit of the new mower cost.:D

I'm just going to let her answer the door. She can sign for it.
Won't come with anything other than a delivery receipt. That was a requirement for purchase.
Ring ring...... hello..... where do you want it?
Not really pulling the wool over anyone.

What did you have in mind? Any sketches?

I could whip up a quick sketch. Nothing complicated.

Hustler by Excel is what I used to run when I did property maintenance back some moons ago. Series was a 4500 with a 72" deck and 38hp Kubota diesel. I cut industrial parks, municipal property - city parks and ball fields, churches and cemetery's and a few state parks.

I can't speak for the new ones. But the ones I had were in the multiple thousands of hours before hydraulic hoses started to leak. I had several of the pumps rebuilt and that took north of 6,000 or so hours. I traded them in at 10,000 hours. No real issues to speak of. Once a year for the spindle bearing and belts here and there.

I bought a Hustler Diesel Z 72" at work 5-6 years back, $14k IIRC, it's been a great machine, really only had one failure, the electric clutch died, but it was still under warranty (although I found out later that Hustler made the dealer eat it!)

All of the diesel mowers I saw were all north of $20k.

So I was able to test drive it. It's spooky fast and makes me nervous. At half throttle I was chasing the dog around.
Going to mow later today and honestly I'm apprehensive About it.
