Since this is how I make my living, I will have to say that your point is valid, but I have also spent a ton of time in the field with some pretty stupid contractors. Obviously not putting you 2 knuckleheads in this category, but I have seen some of the experts on here try to build a simple woodshed that look like a stack of Jenga blocks 15 minutes into a game.

Structural or mechanical engineering? And I do know some pretty shady builders that don't deserve to be called professional.

Architects for sure, depending on the materials he specifies and the special little things he adds it can double the price for a roof in just materials and labor.

First time for us, bird in the stove, poor thing, dogs been poking around over there for several days now. Well, it's outside now, just needs a bath.

How did you get it out?

I've had only 2 in all my years of burning. I just left them for a while then reached in and gently took them outdoors .

Opened the stove door and back door (straight shot across room), pulled blinds on the other windows. WWW and I had fishing nets and kiddo used her arms to guide it, smart bird, right through the door. Took some prodding from me to get out of the stove alcove but I was surprised how easy it went!

(the kind of fishing net to scoop a fish from from water after it's reeled in)

3 weeks and 4 days since I injured my tailbone. For the first time today I could raise my knee up to chest to put socks and shoes on. Of course I still had to tilt to one cheek or the other but the most verticle I've been able to do that it in weeks.

Just spent 2 hours sanding on the GTG cutting boards. Starting to take shape nicely here. ebb45070-e5be-4f25-acd1-c9e4e513b2e0.jpg

Caffeine! Alca-Seltzer Plus Cold and Flu daytime tablets in. Trying to get through some kind of head cold or whatever this is. Ugh! Been a LOT of people sick at my work place and some at kid’s school. Hard to avoid it. Fortunately on a few days off now. Hopefully get through it in the next couple days.

I have just been keeping up with the grass and weeds in between working regular job, a little overtime here and there, and occasionally helping a brother out on one of his jobs.

Rain, rain, rain here. And then a little sun here and there is making everything grow like crazy. Fortunate though. Others around the country have seen some bad storms. Hope they get through it without too much trouble.

You Firewood Hoarders have some kind of fun today, and stay safe. Peace

Air quality is diminished due to Canadian wildfires once again. I'll be so glad once they are a state......:handshake:

Trump should figure out a way to put a tariff or carbon tax on that crap to be charged to Canada.

I have seen zero hummingbirds yet this year. Feeder has been up and regularly freshened since 5/1. We never had large numbers but always had a few.

That's odd. They usually go back to where they had the previous season.
