    Hello
The Buderus oil Forced Hot Water Buderus Boiler with SuperStor water tank and Carlin Burner. It happened on a Saturday night, the weekend of course!!
I switch to the Electric On Demand Eco Smart panel.
That worked for a few days and then the water became Luke warm
Therefore, I did a quick fix on the Eco Smart panel. See here
Electric On Demand DHW water Luke warm!
Then I did a fix on the oil boiler
    See here
FHW oil burner went into Latchup or Lockout mode!
Therefore since I had some descaler for the electric panel heating elements and had some acetone to clean the oil burner nozzle, I kept it going with no cost.
Using a pellet stove for heat kept the house warm too.

I also have Buderus boiler.. with hot water domestic on separate zone

step 1 was thermostat in water tank looks like a metal pencil

year later did it again It was the pump in taco zone valve that went . It lasted 22 years so not complaining

    is Buderus heat zones working?

Oh Yes the Buderus Heat zones are working fine. I installed separate circulators instead of zone valves for more reliability. Just made an initial error of installing check valves in each zone supply line. So the next day my wife called me at work and I said “oh how is the new boiler working?” She said “great except it is 90 Degrees in the house and I cannot turn it down!” So I quickly consulted a fellow coworker engineer who previously did boiler installations. Then on the way home I replaced the check valves with sweat check valves! LOL - When you learn the hard way you never forget! :)
I do like the Tekmar control. When the heating zone shuts down, it opens up the hot water zone and dumps the extra boiler heat into the SuperStor for the best efficiency! What control do you have? Does it do that too?
Do you have zone valves or separate circs?

2004 model I have 4 separate circulators and no electronics. Bone simple nothing to go wrong. Zone calls for heat boiler kicks on heats it.. in 21 years only thing replaced was thermostat in domestic hot water tank and hot water circulator it was calling for heat but the part that pushes water (I think of it as paddle wheel) in circulator wore out.

Darn thing consistently test out at 91% efficiency
Oil boilers are supposed to top out at 87%
