I'm SO tired of the darn diesel Duramax, shopping online for a new truck (?) --the SUV's are too low to the ground. New truck prices are :hair:

Called a sometimes neighbor, she's had an older Tahoe there for years. 99', just under 200K miles. She's open to selling it if we're interested. :sherlock:

And I need a vehicle to take my drivers test, WWW cracked the passenger side mirror and I have an issue shelling out $1000 - $1800 for a new one for my test and be road compliant. No way in his truck with giant mirrors blocking visibility. Idk, get the Blazer cleaned up and use that? Going to send a pic after this post on what the winter winds blew in through the cracks in the Blaze this winter :picard:

My Sequoia is a 2008 and 210K miles. I looked at today's options and didn't see anything I wanted to spend money on. I really don't think these modern cars and trucks are made to last. It's the electronics that kill them. MFG's only produce the modules for a few short years.

I decided to put a little money in the Sequoia. New springs, new steering wheel. I'm sure I will find some suspension parts will need replacing once I get into it.

A '99 Tahoe should be easy to keep on the road. Most of the parts are still available. Good luck on the drivers test, whichever vehicle you choose!

I had the crud for the whole month of Jan. It took all of Feb and part of March to regain my strength. Absolutely horrid virus or whatever it was. I never spent so much time sick in bed. I haven't been out since Easter. I fell offmy bed, hit my head, hips and knees. Had to call rescue to come get me up. Very embarrassing because I only wear a t shirt to bed.

It is, why I've not fixed it yet. It's towing package mirror, they extend out and contract, electric mirror adjustment and even blinker lights in it. Ohh, the dealer just called back

Scratch that, dealer just called back, dialed WWW's number, he found a used one for $350, PHEW!

If it were me I'd get a peice of mirror cut that matches the shape and glue it on lol, but, I don't tow, he does.

I was gonna say there must be one in a junk yard a lot cheaper than that.
