It was his truck, he got it (my name was only on the loan papers and title to help with credit score). I had my own vehicle (which his name was not on), what would I want with his?

It was meant tongue in cheek; about the popularity of those Tacoma’s and how many items are contentious during a divorce. I got impression by original post it was a shared asset.

bogieb your integrity and work ethic has never been questioned by anyone that’s met you.. it was not meant to offend you.

Got some herbicide applied to the lawn this morning. Normally I wait until later in the year, but the weeds are really going strong. We had a big rain last night and the weather this week looks like peak grass growing.

Sorry, even after all this time I guess I get a bit touchy because lots of people assume women get everything (or more than they deserve) in a divorce. We went thru mediation, so everything was split 50/50 (well, except those things he didn't claim and I just didn't care enough to bring those up). Considering that I made more money in the 30+ years we were together, worked two jobs when he was unemployed so he could play games with his buddies and look for the "right" job or wait for his seasonal job to start back up (and btw, paid for the Tacoma with a bonus I got at work when the owners sold the company I worked at), I tend to get a bit bristly without meaning to.

    It's all good :salute:

I got a piece of news yesterday.

I knew a man for most my life, I have many childhood memories of him. And he inspired me. He didn't inspire me to be like him, he inspired me to be unlike him. He inspired me to rise above his way of life. He inspired me to avoid his bad habits. He inspired me to live somewhere unlike his neighborhood. He inspired me to drive a better set of wheels. He inspired me to prosper and spend wisely, rather than to barely get by on money I didn't even earn. And yes, he inspired me to write several comedy pieces to glean laughter from his way of life.

And, here I am. I have risen above his way of life. I am unlike him. I have better habits. I live in a better place. I drive a better set of wheels. I have prospered and spent wisely. But I've never forgotten him, nor the rides in his jalopies, after he caught his breath enough to twist the key. And If I remain sound in mind, I never will.

I learned yesterday that this man has died. Roughly 60, a reasonable longevity given his way of life. And it became his way of death.

so long, my man. I wish you a hearse that will pass inspection without a bribe.

Oopsie, my new desk stool seat may be too big :picard: bogieb how tall are you? If I have my foot or feet on the ring either I'm arching my back to sit up or super slumped and pelvis tilted way leaned back to reach the back. I was in the smaller old style stool for over 10 years, I think I'll give it some more time to see if my body can adjust. PS, by boney buttocks are more comfortable :)

I used to be 5'6" - I'm probably 5'5" now and my inseam is 28" - so my legs aren't long.

I don't have a ring on my chair, my desks are not high enough to need a taller chair. The bottom of my chair is 14.5" off the ground, although I sometimes raise it an inch or so. When I do raise it, the tops of my legs hit my keyboard drawer. I did have at least one work chair that I had to get a foot rest for because the chair was too tall for me (they had taller tables used as desks). Now that I think about it, when I was looking for chairs a couple of years ago that is something I had to be careful of, checking the minimum height to ensure I would be able to touch.

I don't use the back of the chair either - never have on any chair I've used either at home or at work. Unless I'm leaning back to think, or stretch, I tend to lean a bit forward. I also hate contoured backs to anything I sit on (chairs, car seats etc).

I'm a nightmare for those that stress ergonomics the way they know and are taught - but it all works for me and I don't have any issues. You don't want to know about my mousing habits - I have structural anomalies on my right side that means using a mouse "correctly" actually causes pain and tendonitis, but using it "incorrectly" I am comfortable and don't had any issues.

People had it all over the country. I've never taken so much decongestant in my life. Mucinex, was putting in the overtime. That was a good month ago, but I'm sure it's still making it's rounds around the country and world

I got the last little bit of the yard graded and reseeded today. Just need some rain to germinate it.

Going to run some errands this evening and hopefully go turkey hunting in the AM.

    Vacation next week.

Inseam is curious, but since you have almost 4" over me I realized it's because I wore heels forever lol and used normal'ish inseam, and I pegged my jeans before that   . I could tell you didn't use your chair back when I saw the picture of your old secretary fabric chair lol. Funny, I pegged kiddo's jeans this morning but preferred them wrinkled at the bottom over her tennie's lol. I totally know what you are saying about ergonomics, WWW and I went through a couple trainings to assess/sell correct chairs which didn't work for me either I was more comfortable doing what I was doing than "correcting" all that jazz. WWW howevever found a niche market in our Fed and State and county Govt's for that which was cool.

I don't like contoured seat or backs either! WWW has door switch gadget thing set on my truck that puts it in his position, drives me crazy it pumps up all the pillow cushions on my seat and back

Idk, I might guess growing up on the floor sitting indian style and tilting pelvis back for board games and playing cards, then over 100K miles in the Blazer having to use my back against the seatback to slide down to get the clutch pedal all the way down.... Then getting sick. Idk. I'm so pleased you don't have to commute to and from work anymore and can WFH most the time now!

I adjusted the back of this new desk stool as far forwar as is goes and it's a bit better. We'll have to see how it goes.

Feel better soon Dave, hope you don't have that constant dull sinus headache. How do feel this morning?
