I finished a small greenhouse recently. 6X8 feet in size and about 7 feet tall. Windows on the front and back. I even ran electric to it. Plexiglass for the front and back but plastic wrap on the sides and the roof. I may change that in a year or two depending on finances. Tried to keep it around $500 and ended up spending about $600. Whole thing is built out or pressure treated wood and it is not on a foundation. Didn't have to get a building permit since it is considered a temporary structure. Finished the top windows recently but they are not in the picture.
So we decided to do the greenhouse thing too, last July my wife seen this on on FB marketplace, $1500. includes the deck, then we noticed the seller was our daughter in laws boss, so we had her call him, that worked, we got it for $1200.. The follows Saturday my sons and I had over to pick it up, well disassemble it and haul it home, then back with a couple of other young guys to lift and load the 9x14 deck.Labour day weekend my son and i reassembled it. This week we will be planting in it, This homesteading stuff is a lot of hard work and expensive, what we do for our kids.
This particular greenhouse is a Palram Glory 8x12, we bought it used with the deck (4yrs old)for $1300., it retails for about $3500. Plus the deck, that materials alone would be about$1500. We do have about 12hrs x2, 3rd person was about 3 hrs to dis transport and reassemble. To build from scratch with lumber and poly glass, I really don’t know, it’s hard to even guess.
The little pinecone thing is a weight from an old cuckoo clock. It holds the rope for the top windows so they stay shut.
