Oh no, what a mess indeed!
    Is it super tacky oil?
I would think some degreaser lightly diluted in hot water from a spray bottle, then quickly shop vac'd up might work?

    Echo b&c oil
I put about a roll of paper towels on it to draw some out. I'll try some zep degreaser on it. At least it's clean oil! Not like when you trip with the drain pan.....

On the bright side. No rust. FIL had a old dump truck that he spilled oil on the floor board. It went under the rubber floor mat and preserved it for many years.

I was putting a brand new quart bottle of dominator on the shelf, dropped it and it landed on the spikes of my clone 660 and split wide open. Those spikes can be brutal.

Ha, I just started using those laundry detergent jugs for bar oil and felt like a genius. I didn't even think about pressurizing it. Now I feel like a dummy.

Are yins buying bulk bar oil? I see a lot of these types of bottles on the various forums (not any with a pressure bulb). Am I a dummy just pouring from the 1 gallon jugs? I did buy a screw top thingy last year to fit regular bottles but it's more or less just a lid I don't have to take off to pour.

Im a dummy too as I've always poured from the mfrs bottle. I use a one litre bottle for the take a long tool box.

The fuel mix can got pressurized from the sun on Saturday. Its one of those over engineered ones with the release lever. Well it released some anger from me :headbang:as it "exploded" mix all over my hands when I went to fill up the saw.

I used to have a metal 5 gallon jerry can. The European style with no venting at all. Wasn't thinking one day and went to open it after it had been in the sun all day, completely full...big mistake. I'm positive a 1/3 of a gallon liberated itself when I cracked that lid, literally spewing out. I was thunderstuck as I watched gasoline dripping off my arm.

Blot do not rub..................use a wet dry shop vac, spritz some cleaner on and then suck it out. I spilled stuff on the back seat of the truck once what a mess.

I know I've seen the detergent bottle trick mentioned a few times here n there on FHC, so I'm sure it's on some of the other forums too. I use a large ketchup bottle myself (one of those regular pop top/squirt ones, not the newer "no drip type")
