This will be a novelty saw for me. Clean it up, run it once a year or so just because. I need to start building saw shelves up high in the garage just to display them.

I like the idle and oiler adjustment knows and the manual oiler lever on those old echos.

I was looking it over and noticed the oiler adjustment. Pretty convenient. I didn't notice the idle adjustment. I saw the manual oiler too.

They had a snap in plastic recoil badge on them. They would fall off after a couple years of use. A guy on ope found an NOS one that I'm trying to get.

After watching eBay for a long time, I found a recoil w/ that plate intact.

X2. My 290 was my only firewood saw for many years. Treated me very well and cant say a bad thing about it. 16" bar was all I ran on it.

I bought mine new in 1986. Was my only saw until I joined forums in 2016 and learned I needed more saws.

I had a total of 3 saws over many years up until 2019 when I discovered saw fourms and ported saws on YouTube. Now I've had 120-130 saws. Most were cheaply purchased vintage saws but still... I've had as many as 28 on hand and currently set at 15 as of yesterday. I think...lol
