    Hi all,
Replaced the 6 inch stove pipe last with a Duravent adjustable pipe. This was April 2024. It still stinks. It has even been setting off my smoke alarm. Well I purchased it from Home Depot on my Home Depot credit card and have 365 days to return it. It is going back as soon as I replace it.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good pipe brand? I would even consider porcelean enamel (black). I am also willing to take the new pipe into my shop and fire it hot to cure the paint. I can deal with my shop stinking better than my house.

    Thanks,

Selkirk HeatFab Saf-T Pipe will last almost as long as the stove. All of it will smell while it burns off and each time you hit a new high temp.

Fans and open windows. Good luck.

    Best plan IMO.
Duravent is good pipe, but you do hear of this scenario occasionally (can't say as I recall it being any one brand more than another though)

I could be wrong, but maybe you just haven't gotten it hot enough yet to finish burning off?

I replaced it with Ventis in the spring. Much better now.
