The 2024 march saw another record and it’s not over yet. I have 3.5 cords to deliver Saturday and I anticipate more orders to come in. I am well north of 325 at this point. Not sure what 2025 will bring but I am well on my way to making sure I have enough to get me through another season. All but 1 pile so far is oak. Have more bins than ever which is good because the short cutoff wood is becoming more popular each year.
I guess you do plan on selling a boatload since you double posted! The sell in the cold weather strategy worked out well for you.
I have no idea how that happened or why the first one I saw has no pictures. Maybe admin can clean up the mess for me?
Now that delivery season is pretty much over, it’s time to really focus on making more splits. I started working on these logs from last summer. Have about 60 that are oak and 15 that are mixed hardwood. Got all of the oak cut between Sunday and Tuesday. Also took a picture of my bar oil supply. Let’s see how far 22 gallons will get me.
Will that 22 last the Summer? Those were some nice Goldilocks logs. Im sure the guys will appreciate them come splitting time.
Got the logs from the last pictures cut up and about half split. Now it’s time to start working on the big tree service oak. Have a lot of land to fill up!
You’re a hard worker Joe! I just spent 5 1/2 hours cleaning up 400’ of 4 strand barb wire on a hillside and I am completely exhausted.
Getting busy, Joe. Woodyard is looking good. Those semi loads will be more funner to process than the tree service wood, for sure. I did see some nice looking white oak there. Have fun and be safe... We need to get seals replaced in the Wolfe Ridge, then cut farwood when I'm working and cut pines on my days off... Hope you have a great year
Didn’t take a picture but I got about 2-3 cords of the big stuff cut between yesterday afternoon and today. I always set goals for myself to stay motivated and I hope to be done the tree service wood by the end of the month.
