So why have you been up since then. I woke up at about 2am and could not get back to sleep until about 4 probably. Then slept off and on until 5:30. I hate when I can't sleep through the night. :picard:I will be tired this afternoon.

Yesterday my daughter finally realized that mommy was away for more than just a couple hours so we had a bit of a rough night. .. she wanted to just lie on my shoulder for hours and hours (Im torn.. you dont want to see an adorable 3yo little girl so upset, but I cant remember the last time she has wanted her Dads attention that much - shes definitely a mamma's girl) Finally got them to sleep around midnight and hoping today will be better.

Gonna spend the afternoon cruising on friends 32' cruiser. Going north on the Ottawa River to view the leaves and hopefully the eagles. Gonna be sunny and near 80 this afternoon. Last run of the year.

Got some of the grass cut yesterday. The rest will have to wait until Tuesday I guess. Too busy working to cut the rest until then. Cutting it short this time. Hoping it will be the last time.

    Yesterday's Sunrise!

    100_2285.JPG

Also woke up at 4:00 this morning. I was going to go wood cutting but discovered the battery tie down strap on the Splitter was broken and could not get the last bolt for that tiedown removed without using a angle grinder, so here I'm playing on hoarders. Being that we live in town, I just did not think the whine from that grinder early on a Sunday morning would be all that popular!

Very nice picture Alan. Probably a good choice on Sunday morning. LOL. I usually give the neighbors a couple extra hours on Sunday morning. I live in the country, but the sound travels far.

Got the woodsplitter repaired but I think it's going to be close to that where I was going to go wood cutting today, so the wood cut can wait for a cooler day which should be just around the corner!

Except it's been 5 or 6 years... Been needing it. Finely trying to catch up from years of 6 and 7 day work weeks...

Sharpened the chain, blew off the saw, flipped the bar and filled it with oil. (I'll gas it tomorrow.) Gonna hit the woods the first thing in the morning. :saw::tree:

We decided to go to the Padre Pio festival in a nearby town. Music, good food, desserts, plenty of seating and tons of prople. The nice thing is that the festival is located amid many vegetable farms of South Jersey and as such they have a vegetable stand. Many of the famers donate produce to the festival to be sold and the proceeds go the Parish.
We picked two bunches of beets, two gorgeous cabbages, two bunches of leeks, a bag of 5 large red and green peppers, and two bunches of kale. Now get this: it totaled $8. Can't beat that with a stick!!! **of course I made a donation.
