Lorin suggested I didn't take the soapstone out, or the firebrick. I took the firebrick out and the and ash pan grate, both these things hold the soapstone in place. Since I'm moving this off the truck by furniture dolly I think I'll line the firebox with towels to protect the stone from moving. I think I was able to get at least 100 pd off the stoves weight.

Guessing at least 100. The door, both side panels and the top cover along with the firebrick and center ash pan grate

Lorin did run that by me Ray, she said she needs to schedule another open house. We talked about it briefly, it would be a great idea to promote the new steel stoves for sure.

    Hooahh! You finally got it!

That's a mighty fine looking stove. Great color choice on the leaf.

You did a much better job than I did taking pictures, I didn't take any, thought of it as I was driving away, I could have used my phone. You drive away feeling like you spent your money well when you buy one of their stoves, the quality of the stove, the service all of it.

The best part traveling today was the ride, only 2 hours from Walpole and the color was easily 40% up there. So another trip might be worth it.

I totally agree. Lorin spent a lot of time with us, from behind the scenes to the next best thing, she was very open and honest. She's a great business woman, and she knows her craft well. She had all the answers to the questions and added anything we needed for complete peace of mind. As you said, with the money we spent there, you leave feeling comfortable that you got your money's worth.
    These stove will sell themselves.

You got that right! I was one of the first 10 to pre-order this stove and it's finally coming around.
It's (the stove) is definitely worth the wait. :)

WS is not the big factory I expected.. Everything is pretty much hand built and personal.. Lots of pride and craftsmanship is built into their stoves..

I'm still waiting... You didn't see a green and charcoal one did you?

They have a BBQ in the works, not sure when though. Lorin knows it's time to have another one, just so much going on right now.

I understand why they do not recommend doing this but it is very doable. There is a very specific order to how it all fits together so you need to play close attention. The little pieces of angle iron hold it all together. The bolts that hold them on have blue Loctite. This is important to know because you need to add more Loctite and not over torque the bolts.

If you do this, the stove is very manageable for two people to carry it to its location.
