I’ve seen them form while milling. Pretty common.

So if someone says hey man, your saw has a lot of balls, it's not necessarily a comment about how much power it has... interesting, never personally seen that before!

I was highly concerned an animal had somehow got into my saw.

I see you’ve never removed the white plastic on the clutch side lol. They are usually full of deer pellets bouncing around after a couple years use

Is that what does it, if you leave the cover in place a long time? I certainly don't take the cover off after every use, but have never seen the goat turds...

same here. I've never seen those. Although I do remove the cover and starter and stuff and blow/clean everything up every year at the end of my cutting season. I also probably don't cut enough either, compared to some others.

I take the clutch cover off often enough to either swap bars or chains. and have never seen that.

I have never seen them! I usually disassemble and clean after every use so maybe just don't have enough time to form. Also, usually cutting softwoods (Fir) with larger chips maybe that has something to do with it. If you keep seeing them, I prescribe a laxative bar oil!

My covers only come off when I swap chains. Prob been about a year honestly because I was just touching the chain up but had a pretty big job with lots of dirty wood.

Like a marketing plan of mine.

Any time I sell wood to a new customer I comp them with a bottle of Ex-lax. Why? I want them to be regular customers!:D
