    The first picture really brings back memories of my youth. I used to do that all the time with the cats. Also, we too used Surge milkers and the cows were in a stanchion, rather than a milking parlor.

    I m guessing that this is one of two parallel tunnels, each going in different directions.

    Note the green arrows indicating the use of both lanes.
