Thank you my friend. I have a new guy that wants all of it as I can get it ready. He hasn't been here yet because he's currently working out of state working, but he sounds serious.

For the wood nerds. The entire trunk of this maple was a bit of pain to split compared to normal and had that wave in the grain top to bottom.

Every time I get a split like that; I wish it had been milled in to lumber instead

    Update....

I recently was given some free power poles by our power company, because they replaced 4 of them on our property with taller versions. In the picture are the cut off tops and one of long left overs. 3 more long ones need to be pulled out yet. Should be this week.

I finally added these last week to work smarter not harder.

They are 1500# rated and all I need for this tractors lift capacity. I scoop and cradle the logs and cut directly over the pile.

Yesterday I staged logs on the power poles using them as bunks.

Loads like below also get cut right on the forks at a back friendly height.

These are videos of the current wood piles.

I have a new guy that is buying all my wood, unsplit, going forward. No more paying the neighbors kid to do all the heavy lifting / splitting. I will be using the firewood sales to upgrade my tractor to a quick attach bucket system, like I now wish I had gotten when I purchased it new. I'll get a real set of quick attach forks after the upgrade as well and convert my snow pusher to quick attach vs the slide in and chain on attachment set up I made on it.

    The end till next time.

That's great, I knew we were brothers with different mothers...
Very similar to our path along the way
Forks on bucket, stacking logs on utility poles, farwood sales to upgrade the tractor to QA...
    Looking good up there, Steve.
One thing we do when cutting off the forks...we clamp a short 4x4 block on the ends of the forks, let log roll against that, gets it farther away from bucket

I've been cutting my way through this mess this week. That 2 track has been buried since last June. Pain in the arse.
