Our Kitty has been sleeping on the back of the couch where she gets warm air from the big stove in the family room.
Kitties always migrate to the warm spots

When my P68 in the basement was in use, there is an old cushion topped footrest about 8 feet in front of it.
Guess where my female kitty would camp out all winter?

    Little heat suckers......
When they get older they tend to migrate closer to a warm spot too

Guess I'm part cat then cause I find myself doing the same over the past few years.:MM:

Got some heated gloves last week cause my arthritic hands can't take being out in the cold for a couple hours doing snow removal anymore. Rechargeable batteries, hands stay warm, only use about 30% of battery in 2 hours on medium setting.

It's just the beach, it always drifts bad in that area. There's some decking there for table and chairs but it's empty this time of year.

A coffee brandy spiked lemonade or a bourbon whiskey spiked lemonade keeps a grumpy bear away too

Back is getting worse after a week of doing the physical therapy exercises. Used to be able to move pretty good after snow removal, bringing in pellets, walking around WalMart. Now a hour after I do PT, I'm in pain, can't stand up straight, have to walk slightly hunched or left leg feels weak like it's going to go out from under me.

Have my 2nd in office PT session this afternoon, be interesting to see what they want to do after I (sort of) walk in with a cane. Ortho doc had said he didn't think my problem was muscular, probably disc/nerve. Would really like an MRI to see just wtf is going on.

Hope you get some relief here soon!! Wife is dealing with knee issues and PT is making it much worse.

Wife asked for one, But they always say PT first!! I hope she gets one soon.

Took 3 years for them to finally schedule an MRI for my issues. It took me falling at work and my job saying I couldn't go back until I got a doctors sign off. Painful journey but I finally got the diagnoses and a really good Doctor. If they found it sooner?? I may not have suffered as much nerve damage. But at least I know wth was going on.

If we get another cat after this one (he's only 7), don't think we'll get a Burmese again, he's quitely and quickly on any body that is still for a few minutes, especially my husbands arm at the counter (eating, watching tv, and working on laptop all on the counter).

I had a back injury in 2004, jogging with our dog and he jerked me sideways going after a squirrel. For 3 months back got worse (most of the same symptoms I'm having now but was right side/leg back then). PT sessions would cause me to miss work the next day cause I was in so much pain and couldn't walk. Went back to doc and he starts with a reflex text. Hits L knee, shoots right up. Hits R knee, goes up in slow motion. Insurance OK'd MRI, found badly ruptured 5th lumbar disc, damage to nerves on spine. Surgery and have been mostly OK since then. Always thought damage would have been less severe if they had done the MRI sooner.

This has nothing to do with my back but back in the late 1990's I was playing volleyball at a picnic. My left thumb got smacked when I was trying to block a spike. A couple of days later I went to the doc and told them my thumb was dislocated, I just needed it pulled back into place. They decided I needed xrays. Well, they saw nothing, so decided it was a soft tissue injury and sent me to PT.

I went to 2 sessions and just didn't go back because it made things worse. A couple months later I went to my chiro for a hip adjustment, and happened to mention my thumb. He popped it back in. That didn't instantly cure everything because my body was trying to make a new socket where my thumb had been at but it was much better from that moment on. I wasn't in constant pain and my thumb was once again fairly useful. I had to be careful using that hand for physical labor because the thumb would try to jump back out until I got the tendons and muscles used to being where they were supposed to be again.
