The 2024 march saw another record and it’s not over yet. I have 3.5 cords to deliver Saturday and I anticipate more orders to come in. I am well north of 325 at this point. Not sure what 2025 will bring but I am well on my way to making sure I have enough to get me through another season. All but 1 pile so far is oak. Have more bins than ever which is good because the short cutoff wood is becoming more popular each year.
Sometimes by hand is the best way. I think T.Jeff Veal Has a good set up for dumping out the totes. IIRC he has one side that pulls out and he chains it to the skid loader. It's a neat idea, might not work for everyone though.
I love it! 1/3 cord per bin? Since its not easy for me to get in quantity any more next year maybe my last selling it. I have a few spots for smaller amounts but I'm tired of schlepping wood to the truck. Ill sell the BL customers general cordage instead.
White Oak and Sugar Maple should be comparable. Your buddy still have those WO’s needing to come down? Stack it right in the woods where they are for a couple years
I see 8- 330 and 3 275. The 330 stacked like that hold .33 cord, the 275 hold .3 cord... Looks good, that's the way we stacked 16" splits this past year. I'm thinking of standing middle splits on end this year.
No sir. We just make doors for our totes. We stack and empty totes by hand, just use forks on tractor to set totes on truck or trailer. We loaded the dump trailer with a box on the forks by dumping on to the trailer
