Had a pretty good season here. Killed two does and a 7.5yr old buck in the fall. During winter bow I lost one doe due to a shoulder blade hit and gave another doe a hair cut shortly after. Got myself out of that funk and ended the season with a big bodied half rack and a doe on the last weekend. The half rack came in at very last light and I had no idea he was missing the other side. I grabbed the kids to help me track him and when my daughter found him she yelled " where's his other antler!? . Woops, haha. Still happy to have full freezers for the off season

Happens to all of us bud. . It's hard not to think about the maybes and what ifs. Definitely sucks but so much can go wrong in archery.

My 13yo son got his license in November and managed to kill 4 deer in his first season. He’s really into not just hunting but butchering and cooking it as well. Next year his goal is to become 100% self sufficient. Pictures are of his last deer of the year which he got next to last day last week.

    He's watching. And I'm sure he's proud.

Yup my littlest brother Nate is at least 6’7” and a proud redneck.. He is fantastic and Carson got a 243 for rifle season and where they live near Killington has had some bear issues.. So Nate called and we decided a 30-06 for a 6 foot 120 pound kid sounded about right. Opening day.. Needless to say
Carson is trying to explain to his teachers that a week off for rifle season is a priority..

I did not take this pic. This is a rail-yard near Wisconsin Rapids. About 45 minutes north of our cabin.
