I posted a washing machine for free, it worked a lot, and sometimes didn't. My ad said "you must move, please bring dolly. I weighs a couple hundred pounds and I cannot help move it"

Tan roof was my Dad's house, (and mine for 3.5 years after they split, then I met WWW). The empty lot below it was a giant late 1800's 3 story home. Looks like the porch on the north side of Dad's house is gone, as well as the dog run that went back to a yard by the alley where another building now too. The gray roof to the north was 1/3 the size of what it is now. My bedroom was the SE corner on the second floor, and this higher elevation than the city, amazing sunrises!

The kid I bought wood from last time is the coolest kid! He's up here going to the community college. He's putting up missing trim in the garage, brought lumber and asked if it was okay "I don't know, it's so clean it will make that wall look dirtier". Oops, over his head, but I clarified it was a joke.

Went to a park this morning. 60s. Then back to daughter’s house for lunch. Then out for a boat ride. 71 and full sunshine. Then out for dinner at a place called SoHo. Delicious. Home and watched the first Ice Age to keep my Grandson entertained. Hadn’t seen it in so long I forgot how entertaining it was. Great day with family.

    Snowing again.

Plowed and shoveled yesterday afternoon. The wind driven snow was packed and heavy to move.

Seems as soon as I get it all cleaned up, aw.....we all know the drill!

Got the snowshoe trail opened once again. Some of the drifts were actually nice to look at.

The small community of St.George's, on our west coast, is excited that a new salt mine will soon begin construction and employ hundreds. It will be the island's first salt mine. Hopefully some of it will make it to the packaging and distribution plant which is walking distance from my workplace.

Got the snowblower I bought two and a half years ago started for the first time after (far too many pulls) I figured out it has a fuel shut off. Hey, it starts on the first pull when you turrn that funny looking unmarked, unlabeled knob from twelve o'clock to nine o'clock position. Moved to the ready to go garage door spot where the mower usually is.

Maybe if I actually am fully prepared we''ll gat rain instead of the forecasted 4" to 8" of snow ?
Even have bread and milk. :)

That would be a real boost to the economy there.

My snowblower has the starting directions on the plate where all the levers are. I have to read it EVERY SINGLE TIME when starting. The couple of times I thought I could start it without reading, I missed a step . So now I have bowed to the inevitable, and just take my readers with me to start the blower

Yes, it will be. And in a region that could really use it.

This is the building our new location is moving into. We're getting the corner where those delivery trucks are parked (they'll soon need to park elsewhere).

I'll be interested to see it progress, but I could never work there. I'd go bankrupt shopping at the hardware store :makeitrain"

When did The Weather Channel decide they were getting soooo good at predicting the weather that they figured they could predict the spread of the flu? :hair: I'm thinking they need to stay in their lane and perfect weather predictions first. Which at the rate they're going will be never! :sherlock:

    Screenshot_20250209_092453_DuckDuckGo.jpg

Edit: I see now that it's some other company that they decided to partner up with. I can see where they might be somewhat related but i still don't agree with them being on the same page. I guess if i keep scrolling the same page i can find news and ask sorts of junk.

Can anyone recommend a good weather app or webpage that might only show weather?

I use the pixel weather app, but that's just a Google pixel things. It might be essentially the same as the Google weather app. Screenshot_20250209-114008.png Otherwise, AccuWeather is pretty solid

Edit, the pixel/ Google app is weather.com info

I used to use them with great success about 6-8+ years ago. About 2-3 years ago they really struggled to make accurate predictions, so i deleted the app. Maybe I'll give em another go.

Honestly, I use a local channel's weather app because they seem to get it right for my exact area. If I need general, or noon specific area weather, then I'll I use the weather app above
