In a double wide here and 3 cords. Guess I need another layer of saran wrap on the windows.

I would guess around 2 cords...hard to say exactly since I was also cleaning up odds n ends laying around too.
Usually go about 6 weeks/cord, but that cold snap a couple weeks ago stepped the rate up a bit!
    3000ft total, 99.9% wood heat.

    6" walls.

Added blown in insulation to the fiberglass batts in the attic-noticeable difference. Next; spray foam rim joists

Also installed Kuuma Vapor Fire 100 to upgrade from an Energy King 480 wood furnaces. Huge difference in efficiency!!

I've lived here 32 years and am constantly upgrading my heating efficiency. New windows and exterior doors in 2017. New siding. Downstairs was paneling. Sheet rocked over it and new ceilings made a much better seal. Strategic caulking sounds petty but makes a huge difference. We don't use a lot less wood but the furnace runs a lot less and the house is more comfortable.

Rough estimate probably 9 - 10 cords so far. outdoor boiler heating 2 homes. Wood only. Working hard to get to the 3 year plan bit i've got a ways to go. Guys like Jrider blow my mind with what they accomplish in a year! Very impressive because I believe he has another full time job to boot!!

I doubt we have burned 2 cord yet. We did burn a decent amount in January but not much until then.

Agreed!! He is a teacher, so at least he has 3 months off. I work overtime half the year and take more time off than him, and have a processor, and a supersplitter, and I still couldn't do what he does. Buzzsaw Brad is another one. Doesn't even burn wood just scrounges everyday for fun. :jaw: I couldn't hold a candle to those guys.
