Does the management room have a mini fridge? Keep up the good work, it will be 90 before we know it.

Was going to be my question,, you keeping that wood for yourself? Do you seperate all your species?
Been watching this thread, nice work by the way. Couple days ago I took a little joyride on the atv to wear out the puppy a bit. Found one more decent size dead white oak on the property. Sitttin there on the machine I thought about this thread and decided right there I’m going to seperate out the white oak I have and keep it for myself and family. Usually I toss it in general cordage. Not a lot on our property but just over the lines there’s plenty, all dead from the moths. That tree was the one that broke the camels back LOL. I’ll be burning white oak and black locust in my old age, salt and pepper. :)

Yes sir, we separate species when stacking in sheds or totes...like 14",16",18" splits.
    Chunks get mixed in totes.
Glad you decided to keep that WO for yourself. We have very little on our place, we would get some once in awhile from a tree job. Been burning some 12" shorts this year and love it.
Hurricane Helene took down some nice hickory, white and red oak on 2 places we are able to cut on...
I'm calling that our retirement shed where we're stacking now...
    Glad to be an enabler...:handshake:

Appreciate the motivation. Last year was the first year I burned any quantity of white oak and sugar maple too. I could tell the difference on the stove. Here’s to the retirement hoards

Since I had to work 7AM-7PM shift on my day off, I decided to get a little woodyard therapy last night. Plugged in the lights, put some music on the headphones and had fun...split enough to finish the 5th row and about half the 6th row... 20250206_231127.jpg
Made a little dent in the rounds pile 20250206_231145.jpg

Finished those rounds over a couple mornings. Between Friday and Saturday mornings, got all but 4 rounds done. Finished 6 row and almost half of #7... 20250209_072317.jpg
Monday morning saw the last 4 rounds go in the shed, they were nice size, so made a good amount of splits... 1000016689.jpg
Got 2 more logs bucked also, 1 is the biggest in the stack. Moved the splitter out from the shed to have room for a pile of splits

Got off work Tuesday morning for 3 days, so decided to split the 2 logs we had bucked Monday...
24-26"+ was the biggest, sure glad Blue Samson has a lift, those rounds are HEAVY... 1000016705.jpg
We had misty to light rain all day, put the umbrella back on... 1000016706.jpg
I think it was 10-12 rounds at the most...made a good pile of splits... 1000016708.jpg
Got part of it stacked, finished the 7th row, started the 8th and 9th rows, with uglies across the middle... 1000016710.jpg

T.Jeff Veal Is the trailer jack on the front of your splitter a bolt on unit? I have been looking for a bolt on trailer jack with a plate instead of a wheel and have not found one yet. Thanks :handshake:

I think it is a bolt on. It's probably welded on. TSC probably has a jack with plate on it.

Late yesterday afternoon, got a chance to buck more logs. 8 logs for a total of 56 rounds...
Gave the XS4910 a break. Changed out the big dogs on the XS362, went back to a single factory dog. Put on the 25" bar and new Oregon chain. Cut way better.
If rain stops, we'll try to make some progress... 20250212_183149.jpg

If you have trouble finding one a scaffold foot works well. Just remove the wheel and bolt it on.
