I hit the 2 cord mark the end of January.

Sure is a lot easier hauling it out than carrying it in! :D

Must be 12-14 by now. Mid January when it was -62* that week was a cord.

As i loaded the trailer with the weeks worth of dry wood to park in the garage, i thought to myself on how much I've used so far. With no measurements i guessed about 2 cord.

    Unless I lost track, I've burned 7, 8ft stacks.

So, 2.3 cords. I think I burned a cord in January.

I've also been burning some less than quality this year.

Right about what I figured we'd burn so far.

I've drawn from 2 different stacks and burned a bunch of chunks so it's hard to tell. Around Feb 1 is considered the halfway point and we usually burn between 2-2.5 in a season. If I was to guess, I think 1.25 would be on the low side this season to date.

I hit the 2.5 cord burnt on February 1. More than 1/2 of that was since Christmas.

I am guessing probably close to 3. Kind of hard to judge since the start of the season was a lot of nuggets and slab wood from the mill so not really how much was there but it was a pretty good amount. Well into and almost two cords of stacked splits, not counting that stuff from the start so has to be close to three.
    Time to start the restocking.

    Approx .75 of a cord.
Approx .5 ton of compressed wood bricks.

Had the house resided, insulated & tyvek wrapped at the end of December / early January. The difference has been stark, and was immediate.

My rough guess is about 2.25-2.5. It’s hard to tell because I sold about 5 cords, and any leftover uglies and general stuff left behind that I didn’t want to sell went into my stove. So the stack under my deck was getting refilled randomly. I also burned a lot of half punky ash, aspen and sassafras so that fast burning stuff increased usage.

I've run the house stacks down to about 1 cord remaining. Didn't replenish this fall so I can rotate stock a bit. Have burned 2+ so far. Usually have 4-5 sitting by the house at start of season with 2 or so left over...so I gotta move ~5 cord this year. Yay! lol

I'm right around 2.5-3 cords, and 90% of that has been chestnut oak.

Same here, I estimate around 2 cords between the 4 stacks.

About 4 full cords. The most we have ever used in a season.
January had a high heat load for us.

Getting close to 4 cords, the last 6 weeks have been cold at night many nights in negative numbers.

Doesn’t help that we hooked up and fired the basement wood stove up, a 70’s/80’s Kent stove that use to be in our kitchen. It’s been sitting in the basement for the last couple years just for storage. Now we are feeding 3 wood stoves, but hardly any oil usage, less than 1/4 tank.

    Yup that might help.
Mother nature might mess with us. Rumor is more storms over the next week or so but heck yeah, I would like to get a load when time is right.
