Just some pictures of the colors today, we ended up south of Tupper Lake on some side roads and then made are way back. We did stop in Tupper for lunch before we headed further south.
The colors were so much better in person, the first five pictures we hit just right with the sun hitting that area, it's on the Tooley Pond Road.
For those of you who don't know, Adirondack is an Indian word that means "bark eater". The Adirondacks are so tough to live in the Indians called the natives bark eaters! Very beautiful mountains.
It was a great day, we started with a plan on which roads we would take, after the Tooley Pond Road we winged it, both of us ended up seeing new places. The last road we were on had some big places, one was listed at 3 million dollars.
That is gorgeous. Enjoy it. The pictures are the best way to hold it close. That time when the leaves are gone and everthing is brown is so depressing. When the snow comes and covers it up it isn't so bad. We will have six months of winter here. Can only hope we get through it only to do it all over again.
Beautiful pictures bro! Looks like things are certainly peaking up your way! The river as well looks wild and wonderful!
South of here by about 25 miles it starts to get real nice, but back on our property I GIBIR on, things were still green except for a few Red Maples, that was on Thursday.
We have some changing going on here, some trees dropping leaves already, although not sure what kinds they are. Won't peak for a few more weeks. Tomorrow, will haul some more loads out, before it gets too warm.
to us the colours look unreal as we don't get that real red colour. Just spots of gold and yellow if the weather is right.
Wow the colors are beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Makes me wanna load up the truck and head to my uncles cabin ( bout an hr northeast of binghamton). Unfortunately i won't be able to make it up there until rifle season, after the leaves have fallen.
@thewoodlands Those are some great 'captures'! I love the fall with its colors and usually good weather. Kudos!
Great pictures! Looks like you caught the perfect time and day to see the colors.... Thanks for sharing We still have a week or two to hit peek season here.
Great pictures. He had told us he and his wife were going to take a color tour. Glad he got some very nice pictures. Here, there is a big change every day now. Probably with the storms coming this week there will be lots of leaf drop too.
