Currently on shopgoodwill.com. At first glance I thought it was a fishing pole. To me, this is just too cool. Love old school stuff.

Yep, that’s why you never see good stuff in the stores anymore. If you’re in to vintage stereo stuff like Marantz, Sansui, etc… it’s a gold mine. Yes, they charge a “handling” fee, but that’s to cover their packaging cost. They overpack everything and make sure whatever you buy gets to you in perfect condition.

Here’s a nice MS210 from two nights ago. Yes, they screwed up the heading.

I remember shopping in Monkey Wards with my dad. He still has some of their house branded things. That is a very cool looking hedge trimmer!

A buddy of mine has a shotgun with their branding. We had a store near us growing up, then it went out and it became S&H green stamp store.

I remember as a child the thrill of pasting S&H green stamps in the books for my mom.

Oh yeah , As a kid it was kind of special I guess you could say. Especially if you got the bigger stamps that I think were 10 points. Then getting to look through their catalog ( yes an actual paper catalog) and picking something out. Such a simple thing as a kid but it was really a treat.

We are dating ourselves fellas! As a kid I, too loved looking through the Sears and Montgomery wards catalogs. Guns, boots, clothing, electronics etc, etc.

I had one in 16GA. with a Damascus barrel, had to load special shells so it wouldn't blow up. Sold it to a good friend and he left it outside and it got stolen.

S&H Greenstamps now that's something I haven't thought about in decades. I also helped mom fill the stamp books.

I even remember reading those 2 in the outhouse. Most outhouses had them as standard equipment.

I just remembered, mom did some S&H stamps but I think more of the Blue Chip stamps. Same deal, different company. Anyone remember Blue Chip? Funny how the brain works. Someone mentions something and whole rabbit hole of memories floats to the surface.

As a kid I would pretend i win a contest in which i could choose one toy from each page. Girl toys and baby stuff included whom i would give them too. How did we get by with no ipad to scroll through.

We had the Eaton and the Sears catalogues to read through. My girlfriends and I would make list of all the stuff we would like in our dream house. Clothes, jewellery, furniture, dishes, you name it. We hit every category.

Used to peruse the J.C. Whitney catalog as a young fellow to dream about what parts I would buy when I was able to start working on my first car. They likely don’t publish a catalog anymore either.
