Feel better and hope you can get in soon.

Learning how to play the banjo while wearing bib overalls is no way to spend your days!!!

It's offically the end on an era. The old Blaze King wood stove is heading down the road to a new home. I haven't used it in 5 years so someone else should. That's the stove that lead to forum memberships, chainsaws, etc. Getting that 450lb chunk of steel up the basement stairs was as fun as it sounds.

It's so cold, but we still went out and bought a dorm fridge for my wife's friend that's in the nursing home.

She's a nice lady, and she wanted a way to keep food and beverages cups in her room. The facility has their own refrigerators, but don't allow residents to put their stuff in them. Plus it will be in her room.

In the back of my mind I knew that, but never would have thought of it until your post reminded me. Glad you can get some relief. Now you just need to get rid of the infection and hopefully you can do so quickly.

Just finished plowing, shoveling and dumping ashes.

    Probably 10" since yesterday.

I'll push snow with the shovels about every 3-4 inches so I don't have to lift it up to get rid of it; then plow it away.

Firewood moving. Saturday kids Birthday dinner party. (Our youngest is going to be 18 and our twins are going to be 21. o_O) Sunday is visit with Mom in the morning and football games later. We will see what happens and if I can squeeze some :saw:in Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Now our friend that is now a widow after her husband Frank passed away on new years eve, wants to sell the Buick that they had. She doesn't drive anymore. It's just costing her in insurance money. It's pretty much exactly like Denny's Buick, same color even. Well she wants to sell it and I sent want her to get ripped off. I'll take it with her to the Buick dealer that is less than a mile away. We'll see what they offer her. It's got very low miles for a 2017. Looking around for a similarly equipped and mileage encore is about 17k. She was thinking she could get 12k. I think/ know that's low.

Just like you advised me more than once, I should have asked a lot more for the FJ Cruiser. You could mention me to her and that I regret it.

I'll admit that I get very adamant when I know I'm right.

In this case, I just won't allow her to get ripped off.

I highly doubt she'll get that much selling to the dealer...sell it outright and she'll get a lot more. Could try one of those online buying sites...but they may be low wholesale too?

When selling a car to a dealer, you can expect to receive right around trade in value for the car. If you want a bit more than that, sell it outright.

Caffeine! Took most of yesterday off from exercising. Today there will be plenty of it, moving firewood and other work around the property!

Selling outright is usually less than trade in, but things have been a lil squirrely since 2020, so it seems some dealers were desperate for used cars, any way they could get them, but at least around here, that has ended.

Well, I reached my limit of being stuck indoors. Got up early and lit the shop stove to try to get it warmed up so I can get out there after work today. I have a maintenance items on the new tractor and a few things to do to the old one to get it ready to sell. The whole shop could use a good going over cleaning and organization-wise too.

Yeah, sounds like that's the way to go. I'm aware that you don't get what they sell them for at the dealership, they have to make their money, but she was saying some stupid low offer and I didn't think that was right. I have the vin and exact mileage and options, so I'll be able to see what she should be seeing for an offer. I'll go over and be there when they do the deal. She can't see well and is elderly. She's been through enough, doesn't need any more BS, especially from her money grubbing ex daughters in law.

Cindy and I are still recovering from whatever virus took us off our feet a couple of weeks ago. Our heads are still congested, as are our lungs. Cindy wanted to do some grocery shopping this morning, but we both ran too low on energy to go out in eight-degree temperatures. All I want to do is nap. I put in an online order for delivery from Walmart. That came right along and all is well without having to go outside. I am grateful I can use that service and not have to impose on my friends and family.
