Well its a shoe in for the hall of shame that's for sure! At least the tailgate anyhow! WeldrDave says it belongs in the Smithsonian. Thanks for the kind words!
Taking a small load (gift) out to a deputy sheriff and great guy. Locust and hedge should be good for a "get out of jail free card", right?
The 4th (and final) load for the day; all ash. This is for a different repeat customer from last year. He’ll get another 2 loads next week to make a full cord. Now I know…. 4 loads in one day is just about all I ever want to move
If the bed had those holes that real full size trucks do, I’d definitely make some side rails. Alas, it’s not a real truck
No load yet, and yeah, it's gonna hurt when it gets the first ding and scratch, but this is meant to replace my 20 yr old F350 SRW. It's tough to find a regular cab, long bed w/ snow plow prep, gooseneck package, remote start and the tailgate with the step, in a basic model. Now, all the dealer has to do is fix the recall that put the breaks on the paperwork at 11:32am on Friday, while we were part way through the deal.
LOL I know. Normally I wouldn’t either, but this went to my favorite customer who’s almost 100% reliant on the insert in his log cabin for heat. I still have other hickory that I can and probably will burn this year. Some shagbark, some mockernut and a little pignut.
Beautiful new truck...Now to scrape of that Vandevere sticker and replace with FHC!! I hear the Swag Shoppe is coming back!
We finally rose from the single digits and it’s now 11F. Heading out with a load of mostly ash with some tulip poplar and Norway maple mixed in.
