Still getting very light snowfall. If I had to guess, I’d say we’re in the 4-5” range right now.

As with HDRock , will be at 1 by sunrise. Another oak and maple night. we are keeping the 8f side temperature lower to ensure the boiler can keep up.

if we get through the next thirty hours or so, we will be good.

Same here. Was almost -20 when I checked a few hours ago and still dropping. Stupid cold. I can hear my logs popping in the cold. Hopefully I can still get some good lumber out of them.

Thanks. Shes been a good adventure buddy for all my outdoor hobbies. First time I took her out last spring on a firewood trip she did great. I was dragging doug fir trees out to a road in the truck and had her sit and stay a safe distance away with no problems. She also has a healthy respect and distance for the saw but didnt get uptight with the sound. Once the saw was quite she would come in close and be part of things. It was like she had already been trained to know what to do. Yeah Ive thought your scenery is similar to ours as well from the pics Ive seen you post.

Y’all have made me feel better about our temps.
23 and not supposed to leave the 20’s today. Red Oak ready for the coldest temps this winter. It’s so cold it’s going to snow along the coast.

    -7° outside. 69° inside.

Honey locust and ash in the stove.

Pups were quick this am with a real feel temp of -24°.

Something tells me the pups won't even want to go out until noon today.

Hit -30 this morning! Cheated last night and turned on the propane to help out. Cabin is at 73 and toasty next to the stove. I think we will be lucky to get above -10 today and I expect -30 again tomorrow morning.

    Almost the same here.

-24/70 and they said the wind-chill was -40.

Was only supposed to hit -17 last night, calling for -22 tonight so I'm thinking more like -30.

Agree! I know this cold snap is super cold for everybody, but it's crazy that we're going to have 3 days well below freezing...that never happens.
